GB Bank has joined the Financial Intermediary & Broker Association (FIBA) as a lender partner.

The bank joins FIBA’s group of lender and funder partners, which work with the trade association and its intermediary membership across the residential mortgage, commercial finance and wider specialist finance sectors.

As a lender partner, GB Bank will have the opportunity to engage with FIBA members through the association’s regional meetings, events and annual conference, as well as contribute insight, updates and commentary to its wider membership.

Eddie Trahearn, CEO at GB Bank, said: “Becoming a FIBA Lender Partner provides GB Bank with a great opportunity to build closer relationships with intermediaries, contribute to wider industry discussions and gain further insight into the issues affecting brokers and their clients.

“Strong relationships with intermediaries are central to the way we operate, particularly in specialist property finance where understanding the individual circumstances behind a case can make a significant difference. FIBA provides an important forum for lenders and brokers to share their experiences, discuss the issues affecting the market and learn from one another.”

“We’re looking forward to playing an active role within the association, hearing directly from its members and sharing our own expertise as we continue to develop GB Bank’s intermediary proposition.”

Martin Reynolds, chair of FIBA, commented: “We are delighted to welcome GB Bank as our latest Lender Partner. Our Lender and Funder Partners play an important role within FIBA, giving our members the opportunity to engage directly with specialist lenders while also bringing additional expertise and insight into the association”.

“GB Bank has demonstrated a clear commitment to the intermediary market and we look forward to working with Eddie and the wider team, and to seeing them engage with our members across our events, education and wider industry activity.”
