London & Country Mortgages has been announced as the headline sponsor of the Women’s Recognition Awards 2025 and 2026.
The two-year commitment comes after the company were also headline sponsor of the 2024 awards programme, underlining L&C’s ongoing support for equity, diversity and inclusion in the mortgage, protection and specialist lending space.
This collaboration will support the aims of the Women’s Recognition Awards with L&C’s expansive network offering greater visibility to potential awards entrants and those interested in putting their businesses forward for recognition.
As part of the two-year sponsorship, the Women’s Recognition Awards will be working closely with L&C Mortgages on a broad range of content to spark new conversations about gender equality and the broader topic of inclusion and diversity in financial services.
A spokesperson for L&C Mortgages said: “L&C are proud to be the headline sponsor at the Women’s Recognition Awards for a second year, because we believe in celebrating the incredible contributions women make in our industry. We support the growing momentum towards an industry that truly reflects the diversity of the world it serves - one where women’s achievements are fully recognised, where opportunities are equal, and where diversity isn’t an afterthought but a cornerstone of success.
“Promoting equality isn’t just a value we uphold – it’s a responsibility we actively pursue. From improving recruitment processes to better attract diverse talent, introducing adviser training with no previous experience, to leading collaborative initiatives like lender/broker roundtables - to name just a few - we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment.”
Mark Harrington, CEO of L&C Mortgages, commented: “Our DE&I group continues to drive change with impactful initiatives including storytelling and creating spaces for dialogue. We have recently seen improved employee engagement scores; customer satisfaction scores and a number of women develop into senior roles showing a stronger sense of belonging within L&C.
“We recognise that our people start from different places, we celebrate differences, embrace a variety of perspectives and are on a journey of support to ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive, feel valued, heard, appreciated and that they belong.”
Amy Loddington, communications director at Barcadia Media, added: "Collaboration is at the heart of the Women's Recognition Awards - and the ongoing partnership with L&C through to 2026 is a huge part of that. We're so pleased to be working with a respected stalwart of the intermediary space on the awards and it really shows the commitment from businesses in our industry to effect real change when it comes to diversity and inclusion. We really look forward to making the most of L&C's ongoing sponsorship to create more conversations, more interesting content, and more practical opportunities for businesses to support gender equality in financial services."
