
Marsden Building Society has appointed Jo Cave as its new head of mortgages.
Jo joins the Marsden from Barclays, where she worked in various roles - spanning 20 years - within its mortgage operations department. She brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in financial services for a total of 23 years, including coaching and supporting two mortgage centres in Mumbai and Chennai, India.
As head of mortgages, Jo will play a crucial role in the Society’s plans for growth within the mortgage market, which includes the development of new platforms and Assisted Decisioning to provide an enhanced service to intermediaries and their clients. Additionally, front office portal development is scheduled for late 2025 to further support the customer journey.
Commenting on her appointment, Jo said: “The Marsden’s culture, values and ambition is what drew me to the team. A mutual organisation that genuinely cares about its people and community is something that I’m proud to be a part of.
“It’s exciting to join at such a pivotal time for the Society, and I’m looking forward to supporting with bringing in new business and helping to improve the mortgage journey for both members and colleagues. Especially as we introduce new tools, like Assisted Decisioning, to make the process smoother and more efficient.”
