Conveyancing distributor, conveybuddy, has appointed Luke Christodoulides as its new head of distribution to lead the development and growth of its distribution strategy.

Christodoulides joins conveybuddy following more than 22 years at NatWest, where he held a number of senior broker-facing positions including field area sales manager, corporate account manager, head of corporate accounts and, most recently, national account manager.

In his new role, Christodoulides will be responsible for building and developing strategic relationships with mortgage networks, clubs, larger advisory firms and other industry partners, broadening access to conveybuddy’s conveyancing proposition and developing new commercial partnerships.

The business recently announced the promotion of Rachel Payne to sales manager following her return from maternity leave. Payne has responsibility for managing conveybuddy’s account management team and its day-to-day relationships with broker users.

Launched in 2024, conveybuddy provides a technology-enabled panel management service, offering a streamlined solution across sale, purchase, remortgage, including its all-inclusive remortgage proposition, and survey cases.

Harpal Singh, CEO at conveybuddy, commented: “I can’t stress enough what a major appointment Luke is for conveybuddy. Not just because of the exceptional level of experience and knowledge of the intermediary mortgage market he brings with him, but also because of what it signals for us as a business, and the ambitions we have for it, particularly within the distributor sector.

“We have reached a point in conveybuddy’s development where we want to build much broader relationships across the intermediary market, while making sure the growth we have achieved over the last two years is supported by the right people and the right distribution strategy.

“Luke understands how networks, clubs and intermediary businesses operate, but just as importantly he understands that strong distribution relationships have to deliver value on both sides. We want more advisers to recognise conveyancing as an important part of the service they provide to clients, rather than something which sits outside the mortgage advice process, and Luke will play a major role in helping us achieve that.

“We have hugely ambitious plans for the business and Luke’s appointment is an important part of them. His experience, relationships and understanding of the intermediary market will help us broaden our reach considerably, while ensuring we continue to build the business around long-term relationships with advisers and our industry partners.”

Luke Christodoulides said: “Having spent more than a number of decades working within the intermediary mortgage market, I’ve seen first-hand how important strong relationships are between advisers, networks, clubs and the businesses that support them.

“conveybuddy has achieved a great deal in a relatively short period of time and what particularly attracted me to the business was the opportunity to take its proposition to a much wider distributor and intermediary audience.

“Conveyancing is an integral part of the property transaction and there is a real opportunity for advisers to remain much closer to that process, helping their clients make informed choices about their conveyancer and having greater visibility once the case is underway.

“I’m looking forward to working with networks, mortgage clubs, intermediary firms and industry partners across the UK, building new relationships and partnerships which can support the next stage of conveybuddy’s growth.”
