Family Building Society has appointed Paul Ormonde as a BDM covering Central London. Paul joins from Quantum Mortgages, a lender he helped launch in 2022.
Paul has been in property and finance all his working life. He started his career at the age of 19 in estate agency, rising through the ranks until he moved into mortgages ten years later.
In 2004 he joined the relatively new and fast-growing mortgage and network packager, The Mortgage Times Group. Following the credit crunch Paul returned to estate agency with Knight Frank as a BDM, followed by spells at the State Bank of India and Foundation Home Loans, before being approached to launch Quantum.
Paul Ormonde said: “When I was approached by Darren Deacon and his colleagues, I was aware of the Family’s growing reputation among brokers and for its innovative track record in the lending market. On hearing of the Society’s exciting growth plans, I immediately warmed to the prospect of a new challenge and am delighted to have to have joined a multi-award winning team.”
