Signature Property Finance has appointed Jamie Jolly as its new commercial director. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in specialist property finance, spanning product development, distribution, underwriting and senior leadership.

Jolly joins from Secure Trust Bank where, as director of bridging, he created the bank’s dedicated bridging team, recruiting its sales, underwriting and portfolio specialists and designing its products and processes.

His appointment closely follows the arrival of sales director Ian Miller-Hawes in September.

At Signature, Jolly will lead product development and develop the firm’s distribution strategy, working alongside Ian to widen the lender's reach among brokers and developers across England, Scotland and Wales.

Tony Gilbertson, CEO of Signature Property Finance, said: “Jamie has built lending businesses from the ground up, designing the products, shaping how they reach the market and recruiting the people to deliver them. That’s exactly the experience we need as we grow.

“Having been a developer myself, I know that what borrowers want from a lender like Signature is products built around how projects really work, backed by people who’ll come and see the site to understand the developer’s vision.

“With Jamie and Ian on board, we have a leadership team that can grow the business while staying true to the way we lend: face to face, on site and with a real understanding of what each developer is trying to achieve, including those all-important first-time developers with the right team behind them.”

Jamie Jolly commented: “Having spent the last few years building a bridging business, I wanted the chance to do it somewhere decisions are made quickly, by experienced people who really understand what borrowers need in the current market.

“The timing felt right. With Ian already rebuilding the sales team and a clear plan for growth, there’s a real opportunity to shape products around what brokers and developers actually need, rather than what fits neatly into a spreadsheet. That’s the kind of lender I want to be part of, and helping Signature reach more of the country is what I’m here to do.”
