MAE Mortgage Adviser Event seminar
"We’ve aimed to bring a well-rounded, interesting line-up of speakers and sessions that will give attendees a deep dive into some of the hot topics in our industry."

The full line-up of speakers has been announced for the upcoming Mortgage Adviser Event in Glasgow, taking place at The Engine Works on 21st March.

MAE Glasgow returns in 2024 for a second time and will once again bring along the best exhibitors, forward-thinking educational content and networking opportunities.

This year's event will feature a hand-picked selection of exhibitors from across the UK mortgage industry, including Nationwide, Accord Mortgages, Leeds Building Society, LendInvest, plus a host of other specialist and later life lenders.

Additionally, the show will feature a number of educational seminars in collaboration with Square 1 Media, with up to three hours of CPD available.

In the first session, Jill Carter from LV= will inform advisers how they can (and should) better incorporate GI to their advice process; how advisers can level up their protection proposition overall and make having a conversation about cover more easy by using GI to start off conversations about more difficult topics.

The first panel session will take a look at the issues facing advisers in 2024 – from the next phase of Consumer Duty to short-notice rate changes.

This is followed by a panel discussion on the residential and buy-to-let mortgage markets in 2024, including how rates are changing, how landlords are responding to longer void periods, and more, with speakers from Accord Mortgages, Leeds Building Society and Nationwide.

MAE Glasgow is free to attend for all intermediaries, with free parking on-site for all attendees.

The event is being run by the team at Made Events - including Laura Calcroft alongside Barcadia Media directors Andy Shields and James Lucas - who also run the MAE London and MAE Manchester events.

Andy Shields, director at Made Events, commented: "We’re delighted to announce our seminar programme for MAE Glasgow – as always, we’ve aimed to bring a well-rounded, interesting line-up of speakers and sessions that will give attendees a deep dive into some of the hot topics in our industry.

"With the cost-of-living crisis continuing and Consumer Duty rules now hopefully fully embedded into advisers' practices, the seminar sessions will offer advisers vital support in areas such as protection, mortgage rates, regulation, and more.

"There’s something for everyone and we hope everybody who attends will be able to take something valuable away from this programme.”
