"We’re looking forward to collaborating with OPDA to help build the digital standard for property transactions."

The Open Property Data Association (OPDA) has partnered with Movemnt as part of its mission to speed up homebuying by sharing digital property information across the home transaction.
Movemnt is part of the Houseful family of brands which includes Zoopla, estate agent software Alto, new homes software Yourkeys and automated valuations provider Hometrack.
Movemnt is a national home transaction platform, designed to help property professionals work together to ensure a smoother and faster sales process. It offers immediate access to data, automated communications and digital services.
Free to join for estate agents, conveyancers, mortgage lenders and brokers, Movemnt aims to drive time-saving and efficiencies for all involved in the process.
Movemnt will be joining OPDA’s working groups, focusing on standardising property data. Houseful and OPDA are also exploring opportunities to work with other Houseful brands such as Hometrack.
Movemnt is the latest of several organisations to join the OPDA, following NatWest Group, HSBC and Nationwide which joined this summer and Lloyds Banking Group in March.
Since it launched last year, the OPDA has delivered open property data standards and models for trustable and shareable data. The free and open-source tools have been created and tested in collaboration across every sector across the property industry. Those using its data standards for digital property packs have seen time reduced from mortgage offer and purchase accepted to exchange of contracts within 15 days.
It is now calling on the Government to deliver digitised property data at source and is asking for more clarity for the industry on executing a fully digital home buying market.
Owen Rogers, director of product at Movemnt, said: “OPDA aligns closely with our own ambition at Movemnt to speed up the property purchasing journey. Our membership is an important part of our commitment to improving all parts of homebuying for all stakeholders including estate agents, conveyancers and consumers. We’re looking forward to collaborating with OPDA to help build the digital standard for property transactions.”
Maria Harris, chair of the OPDA, commented: “Movemnt very much reflects our values at OPDA and its work is clearly complementary. Owen and his team recognise the importance of open data standards in digitising property transactions. Along with work by our lender and other members, Movemnt will help us to transform what is currently a poor customer experience of the homebuying process.”
