Atom bank has reduced rates across its ‘Near Prime’ residential mortgage range, with immediate effect.

The bank has simplified the way that affordability for variable rate loans is assessed.

The near prime range includes two, three and five-year fixed rates, with both fee-charging and fee-free options.

Rates have reduced by up to 0.15%.

The range is available to borrowers who may have suffered a temporary credit issue in the past.
